Wednesday 11th December. Great End.

Yesterday I went up to Great End with Kev and Adam. We started off with a busy Central Gully, and took the right branch which gave a 3m pitch of ice. The left branch had a longer pitch formed. We then headed over to Window Gully which was in nice nick. Window Gully Icefall had formed but looked thin at the top. The Upper Icefall Finish gave a good end to the route. We finished the day off with an ascent of South-East Gully which was thin! Exposed turf was well frozen, ice was forming and the snow had refrozen after Monday's thaw. Turf that had been covered in snow was not frozen and water was running freely in the depths of SE gully!
